About the CCSD Police Department

 

The Clark County School District Police Department is dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment conducive to learning.

The Clark County School District Police Department works hand-in-hand with school administrations, community outreach programs, child and family services, charitable youth organizations, and with other local police agencies to ensure the well-being and safety of our students.

Mission of the CCSD Police Department

The mission of the Clark County School District Police Department is to provide a safe, secure, and nurturing learning environment, which is conducive to education. The mission includes the maintenance of law and order with respect for the constitutional rights of all.

Our mission supports the Mission of the District in that "All students have the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values necessary to achieve academically, prosper economically, and participate in democracy."

The CCSD Police Department exists to serve the school and community. Central to our mission are the values that guide our work and decisions and help us contribute to the quality of life.

Our values are characteristics or qualities of worth. They are non-negotiable. Although we may need to balance them, we will never ignore them for the sake of expediency or personal preference.

We hold our values before us to teach and remind us, and the school and community we serve, of our ideals. They are the foundation upon which our operations are built. We value:

  • We protect those in need of protection.
  • We are open to new ideas, systems, procedures, techniques, and philosophies.
