The price you see is the price you pay.

1. What this means

CCSD uses a One Price Model for school fees, activities, student store items, and fines. The posted price is the same whether you pay by cash, check, debit card, credit card, or online through MySchoolBucks.

2. Why CCSD uses one price

One clear posted price helps families know exactly what to expect.
It avoids different prices based on payment type.
It supports consistent accounting, reporting, and audit compliance across all schools.
All payment methods have costs. Card and online fees are more visible, but cash and check payments also require staff time, deposit preparation, security, reconciliation, banking, and review.

3. What changed?

Last year, some processing or merchant fees appeared separately on receipts. This year, CCSD has returned to its prior One Price Model. Schools set one final posted price, and that same price applies to all payment methods. Some schools may build those costs into the price, some may absorb them, and some may use a combination of both.

4. Simple example

If a school activity needs $2,000 to support the activity, the posted price might be set at $2,091 to reflect total collection and processing costs.

Pay by cash

Same posted price for every payment method.

5. Student stores and small purchases

Schools may review pricing for low-cost items like water, snacks, and student store purchases. Schools may adjust future prices, set practical minimum purchase expectations for digital payments where approved, or absorb small costs. However, schools may not advertise one price for cash and a different price for card or online payment.

6. Fines

Existing fines

If a fine was already established in Destiny, that existing amount is entered into MySchoolBucks. Schools may not increase an existing fine just because a family chooses to pay by card or online.

New fines going forward

For new fines, schools establish one posted amount. That same amount must apply to every payment method.

Q: Am I being charged a fee for paying cash?: A: No. Under the One Price Model, there is not a separate fee added because you pay cash. The same posted price applies to every payment method.
