Academic Development

The Clark County School District expects all students to meet the requirements of the 21st Century Course of Study. In addition to the three years of mathematics, and two years of science necessary to graduate, students will be scheduled into a fourth year of mathematics which will include Algebra II, and a third year of science, which will include Biology. The 21st Century Course of Study Expectations will prepare students to be competitive in higher education and the workforce.

External Credit: External credits are credits earned beyond the regular school day. Students currently enrolled in a Clark County School District high school may earn a maximum of six external credits towards graduation. No more than three external credits in English, math, science, and social studies may be applied toward graduation. External credit cannot be granted without prior approval and completion of the appropriate application. Please contact your high school counselor.
