Community - Clark County School District (CCSD)

Volunteering with CCSD is a wonderful way for individuals or organizations to directly support our students. There are two types of volunteer opportunities - those that require background checks and those that do not:

Volunteerism that requires a CCSD background check are activities that include direct services and contact with students without a badged CCSD staff present.
Volunteerism that does not require a CCSD background check are activities that include direct services and contact with students with a badged CCSD staff present.

Volunteer activities can include but are not limited to the following:

Reading with individual students regularly
Supporting schools during recess, lunchtime, or a field trip
Mentorship for workforce development
Tutoring and classroom support
Helping students obtain free books on the CCSD Book Bus
Supporting CCSD employee recognition events
Providing your career expertise at a career fair
Volunteering at CCSD events, such as our employee 5K walk/race
Helping to maintain school gardens
Reviewing scholarship applications
Participating in programs such as Principal for a Day and PAYBAC (Professional and Youth Building a Commitment)
