This is CCSD’s five-year commitment to transforming our schools into supportive, safe places where learning sparks joy and students are prepared to build a home, a life, and a future.
Mile Marker 1
Spring and Summer 2025
During Superintendent Ebert’s first 100 days in the role, she and the CCSD leadership team implemented a 100-Day Plan to rebuild climate and culture. This was the first step to paving the way for the long-term efforts ahead.
CCSD also celebrated key “wins” that are building momentum, including:
- Record staffing levels - 98% of classrooms staffed with a licensed teacher
- Improved graduation rate (86.6% for the 2024-2025 school year)
- Added 500 Pre-K seats during the 2025-2026 school year
- 136 CCSD schools improved their star ratings
- Improved literacy rates in third grade
- Improved middle school math proficiency
- Significant growth in dual enrollment, the number of students with AP scores 3 or higher, and the percentage of students passing workplace readiness skills assessments

Fall 2025 and Winter 2026
- We built on momentum in and graduation rates by focusing on the “Core Four”: Pre-Kindergarten, Early Literacy, Middle School Math, and Workforce and College Readiness. View more information in English and Español.
- CCSD gathered input from about 50,000 students, families, educators, and community members co-designed an ambitious five-year strategic plan.
- CCSD hosted 40 community meetings to obtain community feedback that will inform our decisions on the upcoming Facility Master Plan, Building Brighter Futures.

Spring and Summer 2026
- CCSD was thrilled to introduce The Destination District, a five-year commitment to transforming our schools into supportive, safe places where learning sparks joy and students are prepared to build a home, a life, and a future.
- CCSD hosted a survey in English and Spanish to obtain community feedback that will inform our decisions on the upcoming Facility Master Plan, Building Brighter Futures.
- CCSD will release an efficiency study in June 2026 that will identify central office cost savings that can be reinvested into our schools. This is the first districtwide efficiency study completed since 2011.

- Consistent updates provided to the community on CCSD's progress in becoming a Destination District (more information coming soon)
- Implementing and tracking progress on the Strategic Plan, efficiency study, and Building Brighter Futures facility master plan (more information coming soon)
