Two CCSD Educators Named STEM Teachers of the Year by State of Nevada

Two Clark County School District (CCSD) educators were named as Nevada’s 2025–2026 STEM Teachers of the Year by the Governor’s Office of Science, Innovation and Technology (OSIT).
Sara Boucher from William E. Snyder Elementary School was selected as State STEM Teacher of the Year. She is one of 2 educators in Nevada to receive the award.
Denise Frye Ward from Mike O’Callaghan i3 Learn Academy was selected as Southern STEM Teacher of the Year. She is one of 3 educators selected as a regional winner.
Boucher creates hands-on learning environments for her students by incorporating robotics, 3D printing and computer science into her lessons to inspire creativity.
Ward uses her three decades of classroom experience to help grow Advanced Placement programs, improve mathematics instruction and promote STEM equity on campus.
These prestigious honors recognize educators and community leaders who demonstrate exceptional commitment to advancing STEM education and engagement across Nevada.
