Five CCSD Schools Earn Governor’s STEM School Designation in 2026

Five Clark County School District schools were recognized this year for excelling in STEM education with designations made by the Governor’s Office of Science, Innovation, and Technology (OSIT). 

This designation is given to schools that demonstrate exemplary STEM learning environments. Congratulations to the following schools that were recognized: 

  • Bob Miller Middle School 
  • Cimarron-Memorial High School
  • Helen C. Cannon Junior High School
  • Lyal Burkholder Academy of Environmental Science 
  • South Career and Technical Academy 

Additionally, Ms. Sara Boucher from William Snyder Elementary School was awarded the STEM Teacher of the Year by Governor Lombardo.
