Clark County School District (CCSD) has scheduled more than 40 community forums to gather input on the new Facilities Master Plan, “Building Brighter Futures.”

Building Brighter Futures will be the blueprint for CCSD to ensure that all students have access to modern and safe learning spaces.

“For decades, CCSD was one of the fastest-growing districts in the nation, and we stretched our capacity to open new school buildings and hire enough staff to fill them.

Today, the landscape has changed, and our strategy must change with it,” said CCSD Superintendent Jhone Ebert.

“With the growth stabilizing, CCSD has the opportunity to design buildings that are destinations for students and families,” Ebert said. “The information gathered from these community forums will inform the creation of the Building Brighter Futures facility master plan with a focus on students, educators and the community.”

CCSD is taking decisive action to invest in a sustainable facility master plan that ensures every student has access to cutting-edge programs and the specialized support they need to thrive.

Community forums are scheduled throughout the county between Monday, March 30, 2026, and Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

CCSD, alongside CannonDesign, utilized feedback from 18 community forums held in the Spring of 2025, along with enrollment trends, facility evaluations and other data to develop possible options that balance current and future needs for the District buildings.

While analyzing the community feedback, participants emphasized key priorities:

  • Student safety and high-quality learning environments
  • Long-term, fiscally responsible planning
  • Continued opportunities for community input throughout the process

Feedback from the upcoming community forums will be utilized to help inform the Facility Master Plan that is expected to be presented to the Board of School Trustees in Fall 2026.

On March 4, 2026, the CCSD Board of School Trustees approved the Early Action Capital Improvement Plan that addresses dozens of legacy projects that improve facilities for thousands of students and families. The options being discussed as part of the Building Brighter Futures plan are not anticipated to begin until 2030 or later.
