CCSD Schools Shine at 2026 Mariachi Extravaganza Las Vegas

Several Clark County School District (CCSD) middle and high schools took top honors during the 2026 Mariachi Extravaganza Las Vegas.

The high school group winners include:

• 1st Place – Mariachi Joya, Las Vegas High School
• 2nd Place – Mariachi Internacional de Las Vegas Academy, Las Vegas Academy of the Arts
• 3rd Place – Mariachi Cristal, Las Vegas High School

The middle school group winners include:

• 1st Place – Mariachi Los Gavilanes, Mario C. and JoAnne Monaco Middle School
• 2nd Place – Mariachi Alas Doradas, Duane D. Keller Middle School
• 3rd Place – Mariachi Los Pumas, K.O. Knudson Academy of the Arts

Multiple CCSD students also took home individual awards during the March event. The individual awards came with scholarships for each student.

The high school vocal winners include:

• 1st Place – Melanie Linares, Las Vegas Academy of the Arts ($1,000 Scholarship)
• 2nd Place – Mariana Carbajal, Del Sol Academy of the Performing Arts ($750 Scholarship)
• 3rd Place – Betsy Garcia, Las Vegas High School ($500 Scholarship)

The middle school vocal winners include:

• 1st Place – Mairim Iniguez, Mario C. and JoAnne Monaco Middle School ($1,000 Scholarship)
• 3rd Place – Valerie Romero Garcia, K.O. Knudson Academy of the Arts ($500 Scholarship)
