CCSD Reconnects with Students through Bright Futures Walk

The Clark County School District (CCSD) held its first Bright Futures community walk of the year to reconnect with students who are not yet enrolled in school. 

Over 400 volunteers, including elected officials, CCSD staff and members of the community took part in the Bright Futures Initiative on August 25 and August 26, which included 27 schools across the valley to engage students who were enrolled in the previous school year, but have not re-enrolled in the 2026-2027 school year. 

CCSD Board of School Trustees Isaac Barron and Ramona Esparza-Stoffregan, Superintendent Jhone Ebert, Deputy Superintendents Felicia Gonzales and Jesse Welsh participated in the community walks.  

This initiative seeks to provide families with access to resources, assess overall well-being, and foster renewed connections with their respective schools.
