Established in September 1956, CCSD has grown from serving 20,000 students to approximately 270,000 at 374 schools.

The District celebrated this milestone at Bonanza High School, which featured student performances, appetizers made by students in CCSD’s award-winning culinary programs, school namesakes, and displays showcasing “CCSD Through the Decades.”

Board of School Trustees President Emily Stevens, Board of School Trustees Vice President Irene Bustamante Adams, Board of School Trustees Clerk Lydia Dominguez, Lorena Biassotti, Brenda Zamora, Linda Cavazos and Superintendent Jhone Ebert were joined to celebrate this occasion by former CCSD trustees, superintendents, and CCSD school namesakes.
