CCSD Breaks Ground on New Matt Kelly Elementary School Campus

The Clark County School District (CCSD) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the replacement campus of Matt Kelly Elementary School on Monday.

The state-of-the-art campus will serve approximately 440 students and will replace the original school, which opened in 1960.

CCSD Superintendent Jhone Ebert, along with Trustees Lorena Biassotti, Linda P. Cavazos, Ramona Esparza-Stoffregan, Tameka Henry, Adam Johnson, and Brenda Zamora, all attended the ceremony to celebrate.

The $76 million replacement school investment is funded through CCSD’s 2015 Capital Improvement Program.

The new school building was designed with significant input from teachers, families, and community partners to ensure it maximizes community resources and best serves students' needs

It is scheduled to open for the 2027-2028 school year.
