CCSD 2026 Excellence in Education Hall of Fame Award Recipients

The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees accepted a presentation on the CCSD 2026 Excellence in Education Hall of Fame award recipients. 

This year’s recipients include:

• Barbara A. Chambers - a trailblazing educator whose 40-year career with CCSD transformed opportunities for students with disabilities.

• Nathan Inkenbrandt - a distinguished educator in CCSD, committed to student success, educator support, and community empowerment.

• Las Vegas Academy of the Arts (LVA) - a CCSD school with exceptional outcomes, top ratings, near-perfect graduation rates and millions of dollars in scholarships annually.

• Sandy Searles Miller - a distinguished educator, advocate, CCSD school namesake, and former First Lady of Nevada, dedicated to advancing education, public health, and family support across the state.

• Joyce Woodhouse - contributed greatly to CCSD and students statewide as a first-grade teacher, elementary school principal, Director of the CCSD Partnership Office, Nevada State Senator, and Chief of Staff for the Senate Majority Leader.

The program, which was recently reinstated after a multi-year hiatus, honors individuals and programs with exceptional, lasting contributions to education.
