The Mojave Desert
at Fredric W. Watson

When many people think of the Las Vegas Valley, the only thing that comes to mind is towering casinos and bright lights. While this is life in the Las Vegas Valley, it is only part of the story. Outside the immediate city lies an incredible desert wilderness. This place is wild and untamed, looking much the way it did 500 years ago. It is rich with plant and animal life. Most of the below pictures that show these places were taken within an hour's drive from Fredric W. Watson. The goal of this desert gallery is to educate people about our local desert.
