Program Overview
As an established community entity, Sunset High School is
committed to the long-term academic goals of its teen parents. The Sunset High
School Improvement Team believes strongly in a program that enriches the lives
of teen parents and their children. The purpose of the 21st Century Teen
Character Project is to enable teenage parents to complete their high school
education and at the same time, develop and practice positive parenting
skills.

Eligible?
Admission to the 21st Century Teen Character
program will be open to students who meet the following criteria:
- Teen parents (both male and female)
- Siblings of teen parents
- Reside with a teen parent
- At-risk of becoming a teen parent
What benefits are
available?
Teen parents or pregnant teens taking part in the program
receive:
- Credits for attending parent support-group workshops
- Daycare available while attending workshops
(pre-registration required)
- Child Development & Parenting education

How do I apply?
Admittance to the daycare program requires student to have
the following:
- A child between 3 months and 3 years
- Original birth certificate
- Current immunization records
- Health examination form signed by a physician
