The Clark County School District seeks input from the public regarding reductions to the CCSD budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2009.  The district will hold two town hall meetings on this topic: November 18 at Western High School, 4601 W. Bonanza Road, and November 19 at Chaparral High School, 3850 Annie Oakley Drive.  Both meetings start at 6 p.m., and all interested persons are encouraged to attend one or both of these meetings.

We need parents with time to spare who can help in the following areas:
Front switchboard: Answering phones, providing customer service
Graphic Arts: Printing, stapling and processing teacher printing
Front office/Registrar's Office: filing and creating folders.

Hours? 6:30-3:00, as much or as little time as you can spend on a regular basis.

Parent Assistance Council

Parents.....want to learn more about the programs at Spring Valley? Attend the Parent Assistance Council meetings, held once a month and hosted by one of the academic houses.

November 19:7: 00 a.m.-9:00 a.m. American Education Week--attend class with your student(details in the mail)

December--Happy Holidays--no meeting

January 21: 7 p.m.: College Financial Aid--Senior House, Sindy Eisen,administrator, and counselors for 12th grade

February 18: 9:00 a.m. How did your student do first semester: A chance to meet with the grade level administrators to discuss your child's progress(or improvement thereof)

March 18: 9:00 a.m. Planning for next year--enrollment and classes, Bob Gerye, Principal

April 29-- 7:00 p.m. Graduation and end of year planning, 12th grade office

The fastest way to keep up on your student's work!

Students: Students will receive their passwords on Wednesday, September 17th.

Parents: Parents may report to room 313 during Open House on September 17 to receive their passwords
September 18-30: Parents may pick up passwords from 7 a.m.-9 a.m. at the front desk in the main office. Parents will need to show valid identification to receive their log-in and password. For more information on how to access Parentlink please click on the following links.
