2002 SCIENCE FAIR

Frank Kim Elementary School's Science Fair, held on Feb. 6th, was very successful. Everyone agreed that while the number of entries was less this year (slightly over 100), the quality of the projects was superb.

Judges, who were either teachers from other schools or scientists from the community, found it difficult to choose one project over another because they were all done so well.

This year we had 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and Honor Mention awards given at each grade level. The pictures below will allow you to view our 2001-2002 Science Fair winners. All first and second place winners were further honored by showing their projects at the Southern Nevada Regional Science and Engineering Fair held at UNLV on March 16th.

Frank Kim Elementary is proud to announce that at the Southern Nevada Regional Science and Engineering Fair Karessa Skuse placed an Honorable Mention in the 5th grade Scientific Experiment category and also received a special SI (Metric) Science Fair Award from the U.S. Metric Association for her use of metric measurement in her project.
