Paula Naegle, Principal

Paula Naegle is very excited and proud to serve as the principal of Del Webb Middle School. Ms. Naegle was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, and graduated from Chaparral High School. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education and her Master's Degree in Educational Leadership at UNLV. Ms. Naegle taught English at Clark High School for two years and at Chaparral High School for six years. She served as a teacher on special assignment for four years, working with the New Teacher Induction program in the Clark County School District. Ms. Naegle was the Nevada Teacher of the year in 1996, and she is the author of The New Teacher's Complete Sourcebook: Middle School, published by Scholastic in 2002. Ms. Naegle served as a dean of students at Schofield Middle School for a year and a half and as an assistant principal at Greenspun Junior High School for three and a half years. Ms. Naegle is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of students to help them be successful and prepared for the future.

Andrea Katona - Assistant Principal

Andrea Katona was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and moved to Las Vegas during her elementary school years. She is a product of the Clark County School District and graduated from Green Valley High School. She graduated from UNLV with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She has taught elementary school and reading and English at the middle school level. Ms. Katona is married with two children who attend the Clark County School District. While teaching, Andrea received her master’s degree in Administration from the University of Phoenix. Ms. Katona was the dean of students at Del Webb Middle School last year and is ecstatic to continue working with the staff, students and parents at Del Webb Middle School in her new position as assistant principal. |

C. Joseph Saunders Jr. - Assistant Principal

Mr. Saunders was born in Greensboro, North Carolina, and raised in Seattle, Washington. Mr. Saunders attended Walla Walla Community College and the University of Nevada Reno where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education. Mr. Saunders taught special education for eight years in Reno, Nevada and Washington. Between 1991 and 1998, Mr. Saunders coached college football at the University of Washington, University of Reno, UNLV, and the University of Louisville. Mr. Saunders coached in four bowl games over that time period with teams appearing in the Rose Bowl, Las Vegas Bowl (2) and the Motor City Bowl. Mr. Saunders earned his Masters Degree in Education Leadership from the University of Nevada Reno in 1999, and he coordinated three Department of Education 21st Century Community Learning Center grants before coming to the Clark County School District in 2004. Mr. Saunders was a Dean at Becker Middle School and Fertitta Middle School before being appointed as an Assistant Principal. Mr. Saunders is beginning his fifth year in the Clark County School District as an administrator and is delighted to be a part of the Del Webb Middle School Administrative Team. |

Theresa Taylor- Dean of Students

Theresa Taylor is a Dean of Students at Del Webb MS. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in elementary education with a specialization in general science from Iowa State University. Ms. Taylor earned her Master’s Degree in Administrative Leadership from the University of Phoenix. She is in the process of receiving a second masters in special education from Northern Arizona University. After teaching for 15 years, Ms. Taylor has started a new path in education and is in her 1 st year as Dean of Students. Ms. Taylor believes that every child can learn. How much they learn depends on how willing they are to receive information. An educator’s primary function is to spark curiosity which in turn increases the willingness to learn. In her spare time, Ms. Taylor loves being with her family and enjoys motocross and traveling. |

Carrie Regula, Dean of Students

Ms. Regula is a Dean of Students at Del Webb MS. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from The University of Pittsburgh. Ms. Regula earned her Master’s Degree in Administrative Leadership from UNLV. In 2000, Ms. Regula began her career in the Clark County School District as a fifth grade teacher. The next year she helped open Monaco MS as a seventh grade English teacher. From 2005-2007, Ms. Regula was a Learning Strategist at Monaco where she created a daily reinforcement period, a school wide portfolio system, and a school wide vocabulary program enabling her to be involved in the education of all students on campus. In addition, Ms. Regula also designed, filmed, and edited a closed-circuit TV program and facilitated staff development and monthly family nights. Ms. Regula is very excited and proud to be a dean at Del Webb MS continuing to make a difference in the lives of all students on this campus. Ms. Regula believes that while everyone isn’t good at everything, everyone is great at something. Find that something and be great at it!
