August, 1999 Opened with 1700 students and 73 teachers
(We are now at 2938 students and 130 teachers)
February, 2000 Film, Pay It Forward begins filming at Centennial, starring Helen Hunt, Kevin Spacey, and Haley Joel Osment
April, 2000 Dedication
August, 2000 NJROTC class instituted. Named Most Outstanding in Nation by Navy League in 2007
2000 Bulldog Statue donated by Lois Tarkanian, Board of School Trustee Member
June, 2001 First Graduation, 366 graduates, held at Thomas and Mack
Fall, 2002 Football Field Dedicated to Carol Leavitt, first Principal of Centennial High School
2003/04 Largest School in State of Nevada with 4000 students.
2003 Named Grammy Signature School for its Performing Arts Dept.
2005 First high school athletic team to win state championship 4 years in a row. (Women's Basketball)
2007 Students earned over 6 million dollars in scholarships.
