Welcome all visitors and guests! The Kit Carson Elementary School Website is an online resource for all our students, parents, teachers, and community members. This site provides information about our school and is posted with the best wishes of the entire school staff. We hope everyone who uses it, finds it to be an important resource.

Since this is your first visit, I'll introduce you to the different site features, navigation techniques, and even make some technology recommendations.

Site updates (sometimes referred to as editions) typically occur once a month, but there may be occasional updates in between. Each of these editions will contain a new "website of the month" and a "last update" feature indicating the site's current status. Of course, if you have any suggestions, send me an email as all ideas are welcome.

The Kit Carson Elementary School Website utilizes numerous software applications to provide information in a number of formats. Most of these software packages are available through the Internet as free downloads and will add to your computers capability. To experience this site the way it's truly meant to be, you should consider updating your computer with these plugins. *Note: All computers at Kit Carson School have these software applications currently installed.

• Download and install the Flash & Shockwave players necessary for websites designed with Macromedia's Flash and Shockwave.

• The Kit Carson Elementary School Website also uses digital media to liven up our website experience. These video tours were created using I-Movie and can be viewed by installing the Quicktime Player.

The Kit Carson Elementary School Homepage has two distinct sections (frames). The title frame at the top of the page contains links related directly to the school (Administration, Faculty, Support Staff, etc.). The mainframe at the center of the page contains curriculum and miscellaneous links. The links within the title frame will change the mainframe and the links within the mainframe will open up a new window when selected.
