It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Kit Carson Elementary School. The faculty and staff are happy that you have become a part of the Kit Carson family. We are hopeful that this is a successful and exciting school year.

The Kit Carson Student Planner is designed to help children develop organizational skills as they keep written records of daily, weekly, and long-term classroom assignments and school events. I also hope that this planner will serve as a valuable tool that will facilitate communication between parents and teachers, and help parents provide better academic support at home.

I strongly urge your participation in all aspects of the school. Feel free to enjoy classroom visits, attend at school functions, or become a parent volunteer. With your regular participation, your child’s success is ensured. I look forward to working with you.
