Nevada Newsmakers at The Canyon
Nevada Newsmakers, the public affairs show hosted by Sam Shad, recently came to Canyon Springs and filmed two episodes of their show using our studio, and giving the broadcast journalism students a chance to use their skills in a real-world setting. You can see the show by clicking here. |

Second Annual Alumni Day
Canyon Springs will be holding its second annual Alumni Day on December 19th, 2008. On this day our former students who are in college come back to school to talk to our students and teachers about their college experiences. If you know any of our former students who would like to attend this exciting event, please ask them to contact Mr. Gokul, Mr. Dallas, Ms. Ghorbani, or Ms. Gokul. This year we are expecting more than 60 students from colleges throughout the country to attend and help promote the college culture at our school. |

Parent Link
The Clark County School District has instituted a new communication tool for parents called Parent Link. The district is currently in the process of setting up this system at schools throughout the district, and when it is up and running, parents will be able to check grades, attendance and find out what is happening in their student's classes.
