Reading Counts Procedures:

Click on the "Reading Counts Quiz List" link above.

Press Ctrl+F to search the document by either title or lexile level.

Write down at least 20 titles at your level and bring the list to the library when your class visits for Reading Counts. Be sure to include the Author's name also.
Circulation:
• Students may check out a maximum of three books one of which must be a non-fiction book if all three are taken out.
• Books are checked out for a period of two weeks or ten school days. Students may return books inside the library in the book drop OR outside the library at any time into "Big Blue" the blue outdoor bin.
• Students with fines/overdue books may not check-out.
• Students have a 3 day grace period before a ten cent per day fine is charged.
• Reference material is restricted to use in the library only.

Fines/Overdues:
• Students will be charged $.10 per day for books that are overdue.
• Damaged books will be assessed a fine based on the extent of the damage. Students who return books that are damaged beyond repair will be responsible for the replacement cost of the book.
• Students who lose books are responsible for the replacement cost of the book.
• All library materials must be returned before the last day of school or the material will be marked as lost and the student will be charged for the material.
• All Fines and charges remain on the students records until resolved. Fine notices are sent out monthly to Reading teachers.
• Students MUST have a signed AUP on file as required by the Clark County School District.
• Library computers are to be used for educational research ONLY during school hours.
• Students MUST check in with Mrs. Stayton before going on the Internet in the library. |
