We will make every effort to level class sizes (make large classes smaller)
as we enter the next two weeks. Our goal is to move as few students as
possible as few times as possible, so we make moves based on our staffing.
The CCSD staffing count date is September 12. Following that, teachers are
reallocated for each school, and schools with fewer students than expected
lose teaching positions, and schools with more students than expected gain
teaching positions. Teachers are then moved during the third week of
September. This year, we do not anticipate losing or gaining any staff,
so we have begun leveling which will continue for the next two weeks.

Schedule changes are made only for the following reasons:
- To fulfill graduation requirements
- To replace classes taken in summer school
- To correct errors in core classes
Schedules are not changed for teacher preference, lunch period, or due to
change of preference for an elective.
Students must fill out a counselor request form. Counselors will prioritize
schedule changes based upon the above criteria. Please note that not all
schedule change requests will be honored.It may take up to three weeks to
complete all schedule changes due to the continuing enrollment process.
