Welcome to the LVA Music Department
The music department is the major choice for 340 of Las Vegas' most talented vocal, wind, percussion, string, and piano students. Excellent opportunities exist for students to perform in every conceivable band, orchestra, small ensemble, or jazz combo. Our students receive training from an outstanding staff of paraprofessionals and faculty. In addition to a reputation for musical excellence in performance, the curriculum offers classes in music theory, song writing and arranging, music technology, conducting, chamber music, and jazz improvisation. Graduates receive a special Clark County School District Fine Arts Diploma from the only performance magnet school in Nevada. Ninety percent of our graduating class receive major scholarships to colleges, universities, and conservatories.
The Music Department is dedicated to providing students of exceptional motivation the opportunity to achieve maximum artistic potential through daily participation in the most comprehensive music curriculum offered by the Clark County School District.
