Mission Statement

The Southwest Region's Mission is to ensure an engaging, high-quality, student centered instructional environment that embraces best practices and rigorous standards for all students.

Vision

The Southwest Region will employ a diligent system of continuous school improvement and best practice initiatives. We will expect and support high quality standards-based instruction, delivered by an empowered and professional team. Achievement for all students will be accomplished through rigorous, yet relevant curriculums and instructional techniques that promote authentic student engagement.

The Southwest Region culture will be student centered and customer service oriented, resulting in a positive climate where success is regularly celebrated by the entire region community. This community includes parents, businesses, and neighbors and each plays an important part of the Southwest Region decision making process. We will value all stakeholder contributions by nurturing their leadership skills and providing them with research driven professional development opportunities. We recognize that our student's educational experiences will be enriched, as we invest in, and increase the caliber of our staff members. These students will enter a post-secondary community with the abilities and convictions necessary for personal and professional success.

Southwest Region Accountability Report

Accountability reports contain detailed information about schools in the Clark County School District, as well as charter schools. Annual reports are prepared in compliance with the federal No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) and Nevada Revised Statute (NRS) 385. Accountability reports are used by teachers and administrators as they develop academic plans to increase achievement of all students.

Southwest Region Brochure

The entire Southwest Region staff is an enthusiastic team of individuals committed to creating dynamic and enduring learning experiences for students. Our focus remains on children, and the educational opportunities we can provide each of them with the support of the community.

SW Region Parent Advisory Committee

In keeping with the Southwest Region's goals, the Southwest Parent Advisory Council (SW-RPAC) was created in 2001. This committee is made up of a parent representative from each of the schools in the Southwest Region. The representatives are selected to serve a two-year term from each of the Region's schools and meet once per month to discuss Region issues. Dr. Wallace's vision for the Council is to be her eyes and ears in the community so that she can use that input to further improve education for the Region.
