"School Matters" Television Program on Vegas PBS
The next "School Matters" program will air on Vegas PBS Channel 10 on Thursday, October 22 from 8-9 p.m. Topics will include teacher hiring, the ways parents can get involved in their child's education, and the decline in the total student population. The program also will look at the challenges faced by homeless students. Participants in the upcoming program include School Board Trustees Carolyn Edwards and Deanna Wright, as well as Deputy Superintendent Lauren Kohut-Rost.
Airing several times a year, this live program represents the Board of School Trustees' ongoing commitment to share important information about education and other school-related topics with members of the community. "School Matters" also is part of the board's community linkage activities.
Additionally, the show provides an opportunity for viewers to submit their questions online or by phone and receive answers from board members and CCSD officials. Viewers are encouraged to submit their questions in advance by using the form below.
