School Matters

The next “School Matters” airs Thursday, April 19, 2012, from 8-9 p.m. on Vegas PBS, Channel 10. The broadcast will focus on a variety of topics, including the Clark County School District’s new ranking system for schools. With the school year ending soon, the program also will focus on the importance of summer learning. The panelists will be CCSD Trustees Lorraine Alderman and Carolyn Edwards, as well as CCSD Special Project Manager Erica Mosca and Helen M. Smith Elementary School Principal John Haynal. Serving as host will be Calvert Collins of Channel 8 News.

Airing several times a year, this program represents the CCSD Board of Trustees' ongoing commitment to share important information about education and other school-related topics with members of the community. "School Matters" also is part of the board's community linkage activities, in which the board engages directly with parents, business representatives, district staff and other community members.
