Free ESL classes for parents

The Clark County Library at 1401 offers free ESL classes for adults. The first class begins October 27. Call 507-3446.

Progress Reports/Notices to be sent out Sept. 26

Tuesday September 23, 2008 - Parents

Attention to Middle and High School Parents: In addition to the parent communication system available on school websites, Progress Reports/Unsatisfactory Notices will be distributed to students on Friday, September 26, 2008. Ask your child for the copy of the report provided to him/her by the school. If your child is absent on Friday, September 26, contact the school to make arrangements to receive the notice. Due to this change of regulation, Unsatisfactory Notices will not be mailed home this year. Other dates for distribution of Progress Reports/Unsatisfactory Notices will be: December 2, 2008, February 20, 2009, and May 1, 2009.

"College Fair Plus" set for Oct. 20 & 21

Students in grades 9-12 and their families are invited to take part in the 31st Annual "College Fair Plus" slated for Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 20 and 21, from 5 p.m to 8 p.m. in the Cashman Center. The event allows students to explore post-graduation opportunities and meet representatives from universities, colleges, community colleges and technical schools.

Three Square fights hunger

Child Find Project

Wednesday September 10, 2008 - Parents

The Child Find Project is a service of CCSD under the direction of the Student Support Services Division. Its objective is to identify students, ages 3 to 21, who are not enrolled in public school and who may be eligible for special education services. These students include preschoolers, students attending private or parochial schools or students receiving home schooling. For more info, call 799-7463.
