Steve ScottSteve Scott – Curator of Geology
Steven Scott is the current curator of geology at the Museum Without Walls. He was born and raised in California and holds an undergraduate degree from Northern Arizona University and a post-graduate degree from NOVA Southeastern University in Florida. Steven has been in the Clark County School District since 1979. His area of expertise is in the study of rocks (petrology). Steven has taught geology both at the Las Vegas branch of the community college and at the University of Nevada – Reno.

Steve's greatest pastime involves the studying of fossils, rocks, and minerals and in developing educational collections. Steve is currently involved in studying the rocks of the Triassic Age in Nevada and is also a member of the Nevada Mining Association Education Committee.


Don ArataDon Arata – Curator of Biology/Life Sciences

Don Arata is the Biological Curator of the Museum Without Walls. Don grew up in California and earned a bachelor’s of science and a master’s of arts degree in education from Northern Arizona University. He furthered his post-graduate education in curriculum and development at the University of Southern California. He has taught science at the secondary level and has been with Clark County School District for over 30 years teaching courses ranging from Applied Biology and Chemistry to Zoology. His favorite pastimes include camping and fishing as well as picking a little banjo.
