Mannion MS students take part in Reading Railroad literacy program

More than 600 Jack and Terry Mannion Middle School 7th grade students are participating in the Reading Railroad literacy program through their English classes and also at home with their parents. To help make this endeavor as successful as possible, the Junior League of Las Vegas gave the school $1,000 to purchase 120 additional books for the program. Students who read and complete projects for five of the books will be invited to participate in a final trivia contest, tentatively scheduled for May 2013, with the winner taking home a Kindle Fire. Mannion Middle School is located at 155 E Paradise Hills Dr., Henderson.
