June 30 is application deadline for Silver State Matching Grant college funding program

Families have until Saturday, June 30, 2012, to apply for the Silver State Matching Grant program, offered by the Nevada State Treasurer’s office. As reported by the Ely Times, the program provides Nevada families up to $300 to qualified participants who have an SSgA Upromise 529 college savings plan. The program encourages families to start saving for college at an early age.
