American Indian/Alaska Native students treated to summer reading kick-off party

CCSD’s American Indian/Alaska Native students and their families celebrated summer break, good grades and summer reading at a summer reading kick-off party on June 11, 2012. The event was coordinated by the Equity and Diversity Education Department Indian Education Opportunities Program (IEOP). The festivities culminated with the distribution of 65 Kindle readers to promote reading throughout the summer months. The event was made possible through Johnson O'Malley Grant funds.
