Valley High School gets a break room makeover

The Valley High School staff has more to celebrate than the start of a new school year. Thanks to Goodwill of Southern Nevada, they also have a brand new break room. The unveiling of the new break area came as a complete surprise to the more than 50 teachers in attendance during an after-school ceremony on Aug. 27, 2012. The event was attended by CCSD Superintendent Dwight D. Jones, Trustee Lorraine Alderman and representatives from Goodwill of Southern Nevada. Valley High School is one of more than two dozen schools that Goodwill partners with as part of the Student Work Experience Program, offering high school age students with disabilities the opportunity to gain experience in a realistic work environment while being supervised and supported by their referring teacher.
