Desert Pines High School and the Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) program will host a celebration Wednesday, Jan. 30, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., to induct chapter officers and recognize the more than 30 students participating in JAG. The inaugural dinner takes place in the school and includes remarks from Governor Brian Sandoval, who serves on the National JAG Board and helped bring the program to Nevada. Superintendent of Schools Dwight D. Jones and Principal Timothy Stephens also will address the students. Joining in the celebration will be Board of School Trustees Vice President Lorraine Alderman.
