Importance of Crisis Response highlighted

The Clark County School District (CCSD) Department of Student Threat Evaluation and Crisis Response highlighted the latest in threat assessment and intervention during an event at its offices on Jan. 25, 2013. As part of the Board of School Trustees’ "Inside CCSD" series, the department presented a student threat assessment interview simulation to illustrate a key aspect of its role in proactively protecting the safety and well being of CCSD students and employees. Comprised of specially trained school psychologists and counselors, the department’s responsibilities include threat assessment; suicide risk assessment, prevention and intervention; and crisis response and support.
