Palo Verde High School honors teacher at annual 9-11 remembrance ceremony

Palo Verde High School (PVHS)  held its annual 9-11 remembrance ceremony in honor of the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks on America, including former PVHS Language Teacher Barb Edwards, who was a passenger on Flight 77 that hit the Pentagon.

Air Force Junior Reserve Officers Training Corp students, PVHS choir, and special guests participated in the remembrance ceremony where Dylan Ong, a junior at PVHS, honored those lost with his soulful rendition of Taps.

"My thoughts are with the Edwards family and the staff at Palo Verde," said Superintendent Dwight D. Jones. "It's with a heavy heart that we honor the fallen and applaud our teachers and principals for ensuring our students are learning the somber and important meaning of this day."
