Pedro Martinez to be next Washoe County School District superintendent

Clark County School District (CCSD) Deputy Superintendent Pedro Martinez will be the next superintendent of the Washoe County (Nevada) School District. Superintendent Dwight D. Jones said CCSD has been fortunate to have had Martinez during the past year to direct efforts to raise the academic bar for all students. Jones added, “We have already seen the results of the labor of Pedro and all our staff members. Our graduation rate increased six percent over last year. Recent test scores show academic gains in nearly every grade level and subject.”
