"Prepare and Be There" campaign under way
The Clark County School District is moving forward with its annual High School Proficiency Exam (HSPE) campaign, urging all 16,000 eligible students – including the 2,500 seniors who are one exam away from passage – to take the HSPE during the week of March 5. Students must pass exams in reading, writing, mathematics and science to earn a high school diploma. As an added incentive, Las Vegas entertainers Siegfried and Roy donated 56 iPod Shuffles to the district for the "Prepare and Be There" campaign. One lucky student at each high school who takes all scheduled exams will take home a Shuffle. Visit the press release of this article for more information.
