A public service announcement (PSA) produced by Vegas PBS for the American Graduate program on PBS won a Telly Award. The 30-second PSA was created in connection with Vegas PBS’ production of “It Pays to Stay,” which focused on CCSD student Jessica Suarez. Her turnaround story at Chaparral High School was part of a live, national broadcast. Reginald LaFrance directed the PSA, which was produced by both LaFrance and Lee Solonche and can be viewed at http://www.vegaspbs.org/americangraduate/videos. According to the Telly Awards website, "The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring the finest film and video productions, groundbreaking web commercials, videos and films, and outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs."
