"Be Kind" movement recognized at School Board meeting

The "Be Kind" movement has spread to nearly 150 CCSD schools, helping to prevent bullying and encourage kindness. At a June 2012 School Board meeting, students, parents and staff from Dean Allen and Cartwright Elementary Schools supported the effort with dance moves and a tune about Josh Stevens, the program's inspiration. Josh's life was cut short by an accident several years ago, but out of the tragedy, a movement has taken hold that honors his kind spirit and reminds kids to Be Kind.
