The Budget Department, guided by ethics, accountability, and open communication is committed to providing sound financial planning to ensure effective decision making in support of the District's educational and financial goals.

Recognition!

The Clark County School District’s Budget and Statistical Report for 2008-09 once again earned the prestigious Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association marking the 17th consecutive year the Budget Department has achieved this recognition.

In order to qualify for this award, a governmental unit must publish a budget document that meets program criteria as a policy document, as an operations guide, as a financial plan, and as a communications device. The award is the highest in governmental budgeting and is presented to those government units whose budgets are judged to adhere to strict program evaluation standards.
