School Improvement

Our Mission

The mission of the School Improvement Department is to build capacity at all levels within the District in the identification, design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of data-driven, research-based methods and best practices for school improvement and overall increased student achievement.

ABOUT SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT

The School Improvement Department provides on-going technical support and site-based professional development opportunities that build capacity for data-based decision-making and differentiated instruction. The Department provides assistance to schools in four Areas, the Superintendent's Schools, and the Educational Services Division in the development of School Improvement, Restructuring, and Turnaround Plans that align with individual school needs and with state and federal requirements. The administration, collection, and analysis of the Nevada Comprehensive Curriculum Audit is also supported by the School Improvement Department.
