Other SUPPORT includes the following:
  • T.E.A.M. (Teachers Encouraging and Mentoring)
Each school has an identified T.E.A.M. Mentor Facilitator. This Mentor Facilitator coordinates the mentoring efforts for new teachers at each school. On-site mentors are available to assist new teachers in becoming acclimated to their school and to the teaching profession.

  • Individual Assistance Upon Request
New teachers may initiate a request for assistance from the K-12 Teacher Development Department. A Project Facilitator may provide assistance to include demonstration lessons, classroom management techniques, effective teaching strategies, or other resources pertinent to an individual teacher’s needs.

“The new teacher trainings were a great help.  Talking to other first year teachers lets you know you’re not going through this alone.  I received a great deal of good information that I have referred back to at different times throughout the year.”
