Professional Development


Professional development workshops conducted by CPD Science for Middle and High School Science teachers always include specific science related “Best Practices”.  

This year the CPD secondary science trainings included the implementation and practice of using Interactive Notebooks in the science classroom.  Among other things, Interactive notebooks help to:

  • strengthen student learning of curriculum through increased student participation
  • provide a record of  science lessons as well as a tool for self-reflection and evaluation
  • enable students to organize learning both physically and mentally
  • develop student ownership and responsibility for learning

The use of Interactive notebooks has received positive feedback from teachers and students.
