The Clark County School District K-5 science curriculum consists of both content knowledge and process skills. Students’ natural curiosity is encouraged as they learn about the world around them, living things, technology, and the nature of scientific practices. Students build skills in using evidence when presenting information or developing explanations. Mathematics and literacy are important components of elementary science education.
