Grades 6-8 Beyond the Classroom
  • It’s CCSD’s 50th birthday.  Describe science classes from when you were young.
  • Track the phases of the moon for a month.   Ask your student to explain why the shape appears to change.
  • Visit the Desert Demonstration Garden and take digital photos to document the new growth. 
  • As you clean up and lubricate the bicycles, take note of all the simple machines involved.
