Orr Middle School was recently awarded a visit by ex-Duke and Chicago Bulls Basketball player Jason Williams. They were also given a $18,000.00 Hopsports training system for use in their PE program all compliments of 24 Hour Fitness. Orr Middle School was "adopted" by 24 Hour Fitness for their commitment to providing quality physical education and for creating a culture of wellness at their school site. Congratulations to Orr Middle School and a big THANK YOU to 24 Hour Fitness!!

Callaway Golf recently donated enough drivers, irons, fairway woods, wedges and putters to give 11 Middle and High Schools the necessary equipment to begin teaching the great game of golf! Thank you Callaway Golf!!! CCSD partnered with the First Tee of Southern Nevada to provide training to teachers in how to teach the game of golf to their students. The Nike 5 race that took place on November 10th raised close to $ 49,000 for CCSD Physical Education Programs. Mr Jimmy Brimmer from Niketown Las Vegas presented the check to School Board Trustee Terri Janison and Superintendent Ruffles.
