Professional Development Education (PDE) credit may be applied towards advancement on the salary schedule as specified in the negotiated agreement with the Clark County Classroom Teachers Association.  Six (6) of the sixteen (16) credits required for salary advancement may be PDE credits.  Additionally, PDE credit may be used to renew Nevada teacher/administrator licenses.  Participants must meet the “Open To” enrollment restriction listed under each course description.  Courses must relate to the participant’s assigned area of responsibility or licensure. 

Please review Clark County School District Regulation 4292 and Article 26 of the current agreement between the Clark County School District and the Clark County Classroom Teachers Association to determine if credits (PDE, CEU, etc.) and/or degrees to be obtained are acceptable for advancement on the teacher’s salary schedule.

Upon request, a PDE Transcript will be provided when renewing your teaching credential or advancing on the salary schedule.
