Secondary Guidance and Counseling - High School Credit

External Credit Options
Students currently enrolled in a Clark County high school may earn a maximum of six external credits toward graduation. External credits are credits earned beyond the regular school day. No external credit will be granted without prior approval and completion of the appropriate application.

Concurrent Credit Retrieval Options
Concurrent credits are credits a student earns while still attending his/her high school. The student may earn extra credits within the home school, or earn extra credits by enrolling in another school/program within the district. There is not a limit on earning concurrent credits; however, all concurrent courses require prior approval from the school counselors.

Full-Time - Credit Retrieval Programs
Full-time alternative school settings are available in the district. Students must contact the alternative site in the appropriate region for placement.
